IR Filter Coating for heat shielding
The infrared radiation is responsible for the extremely high heat generation within closed devices. An infrared filter that protects against infrared radiation is therefore a thermal protection filter.
Heat reflecting filters
NIR filters also act as EMC shielding. As a custom option, we offer NIR (Near Infrared Rejection) filters that are laminated to the back of the touchscreen.
By using an NIR filter, a large part of the infrared radiation is reflected while the visible light is allowed to pass through.
This means that only the infrared part of the light spectrum is blocked, which significantly reduces heat generation inside the device.

The aim of the use of sun protection films is to protect against infrared radiation and thus against internal heat generation, while at the same time showing all information in a clearly legible manner despite strong light irradiation on the display.
