At the beginning of the year, the new touchscreen multifunction display in the new Volvo XC90 was presented at the major car shows. It is scheduled for release in autumn 2014.
Easy-to-use touchscreen multifunction display
According to the car manufacturer, many of the main functions can be controlled via the integrated touchscreen multifunction display. It starts with the sound system, heating and navigation. Even Apple iOS devices can be integrated and used via the touchscreen. Volvo attaches great importance to logical and simple operation. The screen is divided into flexibly selectable tiles. The user uses this to control the stored key functions.
However, in order not to distract the driver unnecessarily with the large display integrated into the centre console, some of the functions can also be called up via buttons on the steering wheel (multifunction steering wheel) and via voice control.
In the following video you can see what the display looks like, which offers almost the same display size as the multifunction display of the car manufacturer Tesla.
